Angel Marinov

Angel Marinov – a delegate for Bulgaria at Confédération Mondiale de l'Accordéon and judge at Trophée Mondial, intructor in accordion, bayan and bandoneon at Prof. Asen Diamandiev Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts (AMDFA) in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

Born in 1975 in Asenovgrad, Bulgaria, he graduated from the Dobrin Petkov Secondary School of Music and later received a Master's Degree in Accordion from the AMDVA in Plovdiv, where he studied Accordion with his father, Associate Professor Peter Marinov. Also there, he finished the Composition class of Prof. Ivan Spassov and Bozhidar Abrashev, some of the most prominent Bulgarian composers of the XX  century. In 1991, he specialized at the Voronezh Institute of Arts with Prof. Alexander Afanasievich Tymoshenko, an instructor, composer and one of the most performed bayan authors in Russia.

Angel Marinov is a laureate of the international competitions in Castellfidardo and Val Tindone, as well as a first prize winner in the national competitions in Chirpan, Bulgaria.

As a composer, he has many works published and performed in Bulgaria, Europe and Asia. Apart from composing for the accordion, he writes music for films, musicals, theater plays and children's songs. He is the author of all songs in the music textbooks for all classes by Izkustvo Publishing House, as well as of a number of kindergarten aids by Prosveta and Bulvest Publishing Houses.

In 2015 he opened the Peter Marinov National School of Accordion to promote the teaching of accordion in Bulgaria and around the world.

He has been performing live in the former USSR, the European Union and the Balkan countries. Since 1994, together with his father Petar Marinov, Victor Melnik and Elena Melnik, he co-founded the Consonance Quartet which released a CD. Angel Marinov manages a publishing house for music literature and music theory textbooks. He also runs an artist management agency in the sphere of show business. His students have won a number of prizes at national and international accordion competitions.

Yuri Shishkin

Yuri Shishkin was born on 24th August 1963 in the town of Azov, Rostov, Russia. He graduated the Rostov Art School (1982), the Rostov Musical Pedagogic Institute (now the Conservatory of S.V.Rachmaninoff) in 1989 in the class of Professor Vyacheslav A. Semenov and completed his assistantship at the Russian Academy of Music "Gnessin" in Moscow in 1992.

Laureate at international competitions from Klingenthal (Germany, 1988), Kansas City (USA, 1990), Castelfidardo (Italy, 1991). Between 1980 and 2001, he participated in 10 competitions,  and he was a prize winner of 7 of them.

Yuri Shiskin is one of the most in demand musicians today. Not only the geography of his tours is impressive, but the level of his programs. His repertoire includes works by I. Brahms, I. Khandoshkin, A. Glazunov, S. Prokofiev, I. Stravinsky, M. Mussorgsky, N. Rimsky-Korsakoff, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Saint-Saens, J. Bizet,  Rodrigo, D. Shostakovich, I. Strauss, A. Copeland, and works by A. Kusyakov, V. Semionov, V. Podgorny, performances with symphonic and chamber orchestras - Karl Maria von Weber, S. Gubaidulina, Gershwin, A. Piazzolla.

Yuri Shishkin organises festivals and concerts popularising drum and accordion, he delivers lectures and performs master classes, also plays in different regions of Russia, international festivals and competitions around the world.

Since 2005 he has been president of the International Music Centre "Harmony".

Yuri Shishkin has been awarded various state awards, he is an honorary professor in several educational institutions around the world.

Frederic Deschamps

Frédéric Deschamps is an internationally renowned professor who directs Master Classes all over the world (Europe, Asia, USA, South America, New Zealand)

Creator of an accordion method based on the theme "The Movement Creates The Sound" entitled: "New Technical Approach".

Winners of the largest international competitions in 1992, he has since shared his pedagogy with many artists from around the world and prepares them in turn for international competitions.

Vladimir Mandic

Vladimir Mandic was born in 1965 in Kragujevac, Serbia, where he attended Elementary Music School and made first steps in accordion playing. In High Music School, he  became a student of Mr. Radomir Tomic, probbably the most significant accordion teacher in that time and key man to bring serbian accordion school so many success.Durring the High school years, Vladimir took part in many accordion competitions in former Yugoslavia, both as soloist and as a member of chamber groups and won many prizes.

Next step in his education was Kiev Conservatory ”Tchaikovsky”, where he studied in a class of docent Valery Sergeyevitch Pankov. That educational period was a turning point for him as an accordionist and musician, so after five years of studying, Vladimir finished.

Conservatory accordion performing and teaching course  with a special “Red Diploma with honours” merit which was given only for superb students.

Next, teaching period, he begin in 1991, when he started his work in city of Pancevo Music School, but after two years, free vacance in his “Alma mater”, Elementary and High Music School in Kragujevac, took him to his hometown. Very soon, his work with students was broadly recognized, for distinct playing and musical approach, so after a short time, Vladimir became one of the most successful accordion teachers in Serbia.

His students took part in countless competitions in Serbia and abroad and won many prizes.Especially valuable are prizes won in most significant international concourses, such as Trophee Mondiale, Coup Mondiale, Kligenthal, etc.

Vladimir Mandic is often a member of jury, not only in accordion competitions, but also in chamber music competitions.

Today, his point of interests, besides accordion pedagogy, are transcription of classical music for accordion and chamber music for accordion and other instruments.

Dobromir Mitev

Dobromir Mitev -  Accordionist – performer, teacher, composer. Born in 1964 in the town of Lovech.

 

1970 –  first started his music education with Dimitar Tzvetkov

1983 graduated” Dobrin Petkov” Secondary Music School in the city of Plovdiv in the classes of Asen Vakarelov and Petar Marinov.

Bachelor`s and Master`s degrees acquired at "St. Kliment Ohridski " Sofia University with associate professor Petar Marinov.

- National Competition for accordionists "Young Musician" - Chirpan 1981 - First prize.
- National Competition for accordionists "Young Musician" Chirpan 1983 - First soloist award, special and extraordinary prize for overall achievement.
- International Competition for Accordionists - Rainach, Switzerland 2000 – First Prize.
- Prizes for pedagogical achievements 2015, for contribution to the development of the Bulgarian culture 2018, for preserving the Bulgarian traditions in the accordion education 2018. Nomination for compositions for accordion – 2016.
 
Released his own solo album "Solo Accordion" 2002 - original music for accordion, transcriptions and original music.
 
Participation  in Europe, Russia, Asia and America.
 
Author of Accordion Initial Training School, 2003, Collection of pieces for accordion, 2015, publications, arrangements.
 
Organizer of dozens of annual accordion concerts in Sofia and the country.
 
Leader of master classes and jury member of national and international accordion competitions.

Since 2009 is an accordion teacher at "Prof. P. Vladigerov "National Academy of Music ,Sofia - Associate Professor, PhD.

His students  are winners of special and first prizes of international and national competitions.
