Tsenka Todorova

Tsenka Todorova graduated with a Master’s degree in accordion (1995) and piano teaching (2004) the Academy of

Music, Dance and Fine Arts - Plovdiv.  She specialized „Development of civic culture in pre-school and school  preparation" at the Department for Information and Improvement of Teachers by Sofia University  „St. Kliment Ohridski“ (2014).

Since 2002 she has been teaching accordion, chamber music, ensemble playing and methodology of the accordion training at the National School of Arts „Panayot Pipkov”- Pleven. She conducts Ensemble „Accordiomania - Junior".


In 2017 Tsenka Todorova received First Professional Qualification Degree from the Department for Information and Improvement of Teachers. She is author of several scientific publications (2017) in a specialized electronic journal by the same department.

She shares professional experience with world-renowned pedagogues and performers in the accordion art such as Yuri Shishkin, Alexander Poulev, Frank Angelius, Vladimir Zubicki, Martynas Levickis, Nikola Pekovic and many others.


Apart from pedagogical work, Tsenka Todorova develops and participates in the realization of projects in the field of musical art:
- II „Bulgarian and German Accordionists - Together in an Orchestra, Together on One Stage” Pleven, 2017;
- „Bulgarian and German Accordionists - Together in an Orchestra, Together on One Stage" Germany, 2016;
- Renovation of the toolkit at the National School of Arts „Panayot Pipkov"- Pleven under the National Program
- „Modernizing the System of the Vocational Education", 2014/2015;
- „School for Self-Confirmation and Preparation for European Horizons" - extracurricular and out-of-school activities with Ensemble „Accordiomania - Junior", 2014/2015, 2013/2014.
- Under the Mobility Program to NFC - 2017, 2016, 2015, 2012, 2011

Her students are awarded scholarships granted by the Ministry of Culture for children with prominent gifts and talents from the Communitas Foundation. They are winners of the following prizes:
- I International Competition for Accordionists and Bayanists - Paks, Hungary
- XXVI International Competition for Accordionists - Lanciano, Italy;
- IV International Competition for Accordion / Bayan MEHFEST - Belgrade, Serbia;
- I and II International Competition for Accordion „Georgi Galabov", Bistritsa, Sofia Municipality;
- National Competition for Accordionists „Dancing Keys", Novi Pazar;
- International Children's Festival „Young Talents", Sofia;
- International Competition „Orpheus’s Gift", Sofia;
- National Folklore Music Competition „Orpheus’s  Spring”,  Stara Zagora
